Sea Angler

Sea Angler first hit the newsstands in March 1972. Describing itself as "The new voice for your sport", it advertised reels going for less than a fiver and rods for £23. A flick through its pages reveals that the word "oilskins" was still in popular use... In the decades since, the magazine has repeatedly tapped into that very support of which editor Ted Lamb wrote. Now edited by Mel Russ, Sea Angler has been the nation's biggest-selling sea fishing magazine ever since it was launched; its coverage of people, places, tackle and techniques within the sport appealing to beginners and veterans alike.
